TOKYO — An explosion was documented at Honda Motor Co.’s plant in central Japan, law enforcement stated on Sunday, with two workers despatched to the healthcare facility with burns.

The explosion at a switchboard happened at around 9:15 am regional time at Honda’s plant in Suzuka town, Mie prefecture, an officer with the prefectural law enforcement stated. Two workers in their 20s, who had been examining the switchboard, had been injured and despatched to be dealt with, the officer stated.

The business is investigating, a spokesman stated.

The Suzuka factory is just one of Honda’s major generation resources for light cars, together with the N-BOX.

A business spokesman stated the plant would work as normal on Monday.
